BELINDA LÓPEZ VISITED OUR SCHOOL
Belinda
López Gallego has visited our school to talk with the students about adapted
sports and integration.
The Primary education students
have gone to her talk in which they have had the opportunity to listen to
Belinda’s experiences with the sport and her achievements. As a Spanish
paratriathlon champion, she have talked about adapted sports and the
difficulties that the people who practised these sports can find.
One of the most important
conclusions was the importance to adapt the space to allow the people with some
disability to practice sports and live a normal life.
Among the questions that the
students asked to Belinda, the children were very interested in the guide dog
and its importance in Belinda’s life.
It was very shocking for the
students that Belinda swims because they cannot understand how she can swim
without seeing anything. Another important information was that Belinda is an
expert in rescue.
She also explained to the
students that she swam in the sea which is more difficult than swimming in a
pool.
To conclude, we can say a
sentence that Belinda said to the students: ‘Effort always means victory’

DIEGO RIVAS VISITED OUR SCHOOL
Diego Rivas, a famous football
player who played in important football teams such as Real Sociedad and
Atlético de Madrid, has visited our school to talk about sport. The Primary
Education students interviewed him. Diego Rivas was born in Ciudad Real, Spain,
on 27TH April , 1980. His
football career began in "Los Angeles", a team from his neighborhood
in Ciudad Real.
Getafe team
is where he is considered a professional player. He demonstrates his power and
becomes an essential player.
In July 2006, he transferred
to the Royal Society and made his debut on August 27th against
Athletic Club. At first they did not choose him for 08-09 season, for two
reasons: he did not have a good role in the first season of the Real and, on
the other hand, his salary was one of the highest in the club.
At the beginning of preseason,
he trained alone. Juanma Lillo allowed him to participate in the trainings
while he looked for a way out of the Real.
Juanma Lillo and Martin Lasarte in seasons 08-09 and 09-10 respectively, put
him as a defensive midfielder. The team ascended to first division.
After five seasons at Real, in
May 2011 he ended his career as owner and acclaimed by the fans. On 30th June 2011, Hercules confirmed the signing of Diego for two seasons with an option for a third.
On 30th June 2011,
Hercules confirmed the signing of Diego for two seasons with an option for a
third. He played in 26 matches. On 9th August 2013 he is
incorporated as a midfielder on the SD Eibar during a season. After spending a
season in Eibar, he joined the EU Llagostera for a season. In the summer of
2015 he joined the Yugo Socuéllamos 2nd Division B.
Finally, in the summer of
2016, he joined the Manchego club in Ciudad Real, where he plays today.
Diego Rivas visited our school. We talked about the
sport and he signed some autographs
How do you train as a professional football player? What do you eat?
In the morning, he trains
during two hours. Before or after the training, he went to the gym or the
doctor. According to the food, it was light food such as rice or chicken.
When did you make your debut
in first division?
I made my debut in the
Atletico Madrid in 2003.
What prizes do you win?
Individually, he has got many
pizes, and as a team, he is three times champion in second division.
Have you ever won Cristiano Ronaldo
in a match?
I sometimes did. He had
different feelings every time I went to the Camp Nou or the Bernabeu. He was
very exciting to play against Cristiano or Messi because they are some of the
best football players.
Would you like to play in a team
such as Real Madrid or Barcelona?
I don’t like to play in
another team because he is happy with the teams he played in. He likes Atletico
de Madrid, and he was lucky to play with this team.
Would you have had a bigger
salary with Real Madrid than with Atletico de Madrid?
For him the money is not everything, and he would prefer
to work with Atletico de Madrid even if the salary is smaller. The most
important thing is the happiness.
Are you nervous before a
match?
Yes, he is nervous before
playing because it means that he still enjoy doing this. If you are motivated,
you can do it. If you try, you should be proud of yourself even if you lose.
Finally, Diego gives a piece
of advice to the children who want to be football players. The most important
thing for him is the effort. They should take every opportunity that the life
gives them.
